We are Isabel Racine and Pier-Olivier Côté, students at École Polytechnique de Montréal. Representing this year’s local committee, we wanted to slip a little introduction into this first mailer. We are respectively veterans of Polytechnique’s Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe projects. These projects have been a substantial part of our lives over the years, and we are thrilled to now have the pleasure of assisting the CSCE Student Competition Committee in planning this edition in Montreal! We have assembled the best possible team to organize what we hope will be a memorable competition next May.
We are already busy searching for the best locations to host the different parts of the competition, the housing for your teams and, of course, looking for awesome activities in-between official events. There is so much to do in Montreal, and we already have a few ideas between us (no spoilers!). We hope to make this event both unique and one to remember for local and visiting teams alike.
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish the best of luck to each of you in the upcoming months. We look forward to hosting you in May 2019 – a great time to get together and enjoy the city of Montreal!
