Dear team captains,

I am very happy to share with you the Mailer 4 concerning the 25th annual CSCE-CAC Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition (CNCCC), which will take place from May 15th to 18th, 2019 at Polytechnique Montréal in Montréal.

The present document is mostly intended to give important information about the competition:

  • Social media;
  • Summary of important dates;
  • Schedule and venues of the competition;
  • Passing orders

Note that all important information will be posted on our website: https://cscecompetitions.ca. Team members are also strongly encouraged to follow the Facebook and Instagram pages of the CNCCC (@cnccc.cnccb) for last minute information and exclusive content.

We also encourage you to use, during the competition, the following hashtags: #cscecompetitions2019 #cscecompetitions and to try our Snapchat filters that will be coming soon!

Instant communications between the organizing committees (the CSCE student competition committee as well as Polytechnique’s local committee) and team captains will be done using Slack. We recommend for team captains to download Slack before the competition. A link has been sent to every captain and co-captain in order to join the workspace.

For more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Hello dear teams!

The local committee is working once again with the CSCE to offer you the best experience the city has to offer. Start your stay the right way by going to our Ice Breaker event at Auberge Saint-Gabriel the night after registrations! You’ll be able to meet the other teams in one of the most charming bars of Montreal. On another note, what better way to discover Montreal than with good food? We created a list of restaurants to try out between competition events. The list is far from complete, so feel free to explore! The Polytechnique campus awaits with interesting stories, since the competition Scavenger Hunt is back this year! Take pictures of your team’s hunt and achievements, the most creative ones will be rewarded. Don’t forget to post the best of them on social media, using the CSCE’s competition hashtags! For the warriors among you, we are also planning a pub crawl of the best student bars nearby.

Stay tuned for more information on May 15th, and we wish you a successful last month of preparations!
